Just as Sheryl has welcomed people into her home and family, she would like to welcome you into your role of parent by providing compassionate antepartum, postpartum and first year infant support.
As a Certified Postpartum Doula, Sheryl considers it an honor to be invited into your new family experience. Whether you are new or seasoned, biological, intended or adoptive parents, she is there to provide gentle, nurturing, non-judgmental support. She offers a listening ear when you need someone to talk to. Sheryl’s goal is to provide you quality individualized care as you transition into your new life with your baby.
After a string of tragedies, Sheryl knew it was time to get back to “heart work” and decided to use her passion for supporting families in a way that could make a difference in the beginning stages of life by becoming a postpartum doula. Sheryl’s background as a Family Partner with a local mental health agency provided direct experience with nurturing exhausted, overwhelmed parents and helping them build strong, sustainable, foundational skills as they cared for their children experiencing disabilities and mental health needs. Walking alongside families as they establish their family roots and seeing their confidence grow is what she loves most about being a doula.
Her own family is diverse: she is an adoptee, the biological and adoptive mother of 4, grandmother of 4, and formerly fostered over 25 children. Sheryl is the mother of an adult child who experiences developmental and mental health needs, as well as a mother who has experienced the loss of a child. She enjoys living on the edge of the Mt. Hood National Forest with her husband in Estacada. She is a true Pacific Northwest girl and loves the outdoors and all Oregon has to offer.
Sheryl considers it a privilege to help you cultivate, nurture and grow your family.
